The evening will open with Béjart et nous, a breathtaking journey through Maurice Béjart’s danced (and musical) repertoire, blending pas de deux, solos, and reimagined ensemble pieces. This sensitive artistic proposal by Julien Favreau offers an immersion into the eclectic and abundant work of the Master, performed by the dancers of his company today.
In the second part, the evening will continue with two emblematic works by Maurice Béjart. First, The Firebird, set to the music of Stravinsky, a symbol of rebirth and vitality. As Béjart himself said: “The Firebird is the Phoenix that rises from its ashes. The Bird of life and joy, immortal, whose splendor and strength remain indestructible.”
The evening will conclude with the majestic Boléro, a ballet created in 1961 by Maurice Béjart to the hypnotic music of Maurice Ravel. The central role – the Melody – is alternately performed by a female or male dancer, while the Rhythm is interpreted by a group of dancers.
