A glance at Gil Roman‘s new creation, entirely choreographed to the music of New York composer John Zorn.

Facing a considerable body of work, Gil Roman immerses himself in the various compositions making up the universe that the brilliant multi-instrumentalist has explored under Masada since 1992: touching on several hundred themes, this “corpus” forms, in a way, a “songbook” whose specific range and inflections remind us of Jewish, Klezmer or Sephardic popular music. But not only…. step by step, with a movement, a gesture, Gil Roman brings his dancers beyond the walls…

The ballet will be presented as world premiere, from April 5 to 7, at Lausanne Opera.
