Julien Favreau joined the Béjart Ballet Lausanne thirty years ago.
He has performed numerous iconic roles in the ballets of Maurice Béjart and Gil Roman as a soloist throughout his career. It was therefore fitting that the Béjart Ballet Lausanne Foundation Board appointed him interim artistic director, recognizing his deep connection with the founder’s work, on March 1, 2024, before confirming him in this role as artistic director from September 1, 2024.
