Commissioned by Maurice Béjart for the 50th anniversary of his Company, this ballet is dedicated to Venice with the music of Antonio Vivaldi. This choreographic suite sets the story of four spirits inhabiting the ruins of a lost city. As Nietzsche wrote in Ecce Homo: “when I seek another word for music, I never find any other word but Venice”.
